Lights

The light starts to appear and the shadows move trough the roofs of the city. The houses win volume and the colors get more defined.

The castle, at the end, stays in the sun but the shadow stays in the hill. The blue of the river reflects the blue of the sky and you distinguish them with a small and very thin fog. Later, when the city is covered by the shadow, that fog will become thick and gray. In certain nights it covers the sky as if it was a huge blanket. Or something magic that covers the city and protect us from the night fall.

The birds fly lighter at the sunset and in an amazing way they cross themselfs in the sky. Clouds of black birds, with mechaninc wings that goes and comes without stopping. The hot wind flows and the voices, far far away, get mixed up with the screams of the happy birds and everything sounds to summer and warmness. The windows, are opened till the limit, they let us see the city and almost the whole river. The boats pass, slowly, leaving in the water trays that are blue but so dark as if they were the incoming night.

Behind the houses, between the gardens, there's a courtyard with old old stones and ruined walls, covered by "Hera" and other green and long plants, where, now, there's nobody. One abandoned courtyard that, soon, will be renewed.

I miss those days that will come. I strongly close my eyes and I see other closed eyes. I know their intensity and I know the colour of their colour. I open my eyes slowly to not cry. The night has fallen.

The lights of the castle are turned on and they illuminate the walls. It's yellow lights, very weak lights, that allows you to see the old stones and let you see the perfection of the angles. Seen by far, the threes gain form and they look even more beautifull and bigger and thinner and inspiring.

After the lights of the castle were turned on, two lines appear trough the river and only then, the stars appear from the bridge that touch the sky an shine through the hole night.

And I'm still here, thinking of you. Keeping the courtyard the the look and throwing on it all the nostalgy of those days that are gone and those that will come. And I let myself stay here because this is where I want to be....
